A tribute to one of my favourite poets - Edgar Allan Poe!
I'm pretty happy with this, particularly because it started as a warm-up sketch and I managed to finish it relatively shortly after deciding I liked it enough to continue. It just felt like a more spontaneous, fluid sort of process compared to my usual way of doing things… hopefully I can try more of that in future.
Moustaches are incredibly fun to draw, you guys.

I've only ever read the short story about the Catacombs but I'd love to eventually see his other horror works. Even though I've only read one I really feel your pictures shows the dark charm of his stories/poems and how they draw you in.
